Chairperson Ms. Farzana Khoso, with the heart of a mother, strongly believes that orphaned children should not only receive education but also skill development training, so they can become financially independent at every stage of life. Her vision is to see girls empowered and self-reliant.
Since 2023, Farzana (M) Welfare Organization (FMWO) has been providing not only shelter and sponsorship to orphaned girls but, under its self-initiative, has also started skill development programs. One of the key initiatives includes sewing and embroidery classes, in which 75 girls (referred to as “fairies”) are actively participating.
To support this program:
• FMWO purchased 21 sewing machines independently.
• Several volunteers also contributed sewing machines, including:
o Mr. Iqbal Memon, who generously gifted 16 sewing machines along with all necessary vocational materials.
o Mr. Altaf Sheikh, who donated 3 sewing machines.
o Ms. Nadia and Ms. Shaista, who each contributed 1 sewing machine.
Currently, with a total of 40 sewing machines, 75 orphaned girls receive daily training in sewing and embroidery at the centre.
